Denbigh Castle Lodge No. 4916 welcomed The Royal College of Surgeons
Denbigh Castle Lodge No. 4916 welcomed Professor Martyn Coomer, Director of Research at The Royal College of Surgeons & Ms Laura Hancock, consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Manchester University NHS Trust.
Ms Hancock provided an insight into the work of Colorectal Surgery & how she was supported in her early research through Masonic funding.
It was a great night with many Masonic and non-Masonic guests who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Donations totalling £650 were presented to the Royal College of Surgeons. (£250 Denbigh Castle Lodge; £200 Group 4; £200 Raffle)
In addition, Ms Hancock & Professor Coomer were presented with handmade CD Clocks by W. Bro Colin Roberts of Denbigh Castle Lodge.

They delivered an interesting talk on how Freemasons support surgical research through the Royal College of Surgeons & how it has contributed to advances in surgery.
Ms Hancock provided an insight into the work of Colorectal Surgery & how she was supported in her early research through Masonic funding.
