Vardre Lodge No. 8949 Donated £500

Vardre Lodge No. 8949 donated £500 to The Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Charity in support of their ‘Drive out Delirium’ campaign. John Hannah is a recovering patient who had a double arterial bypass, new heart valve & pacemaker at the hospital, which provides heart surgery for North Wales. After surgery, John suffered from strange & frightening delusions. Thanks to the outstanding care given by LHCH, he has made an excellent recovery. John & his wife Sandy are now back visiting Llandudno Hospital & St David’s Hospice, with their two therapy dogs, Reg & Walter. Therapy dogs can be a real bonus in preventing the development of delirium. John & Sandy presented the cheque to Consultant Cardiologist & Surgeon Bil Kirmani & his PA, Sue Best
