The Widows Sons National Rally Comes to North Wales

Every year the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association hold a National Rally, where all the Chapters across the UK & Ireland meet up for a weekend of Fun. This year during the UGLE Tercentenary celebrations, the Rally was held in the Province of North Wales, hosted by the North Wales Chapter.

The Rally was a huge success, with over 270 people attending over the three days (And some enjoyed it so much they stayed for five).

Two excellent Ride-outs were organised to show off the lovely Welsh countryside, as well as World Heritage Sites such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (An amazing feat of Engineering, designed and built by a Freemason). Two live bands and a disco provided the musical entertainment for the weekend, and Tug-of-War and Yard of Ale competitions ensured everyone had a good time.

Peter Younger, The Chairman of the Widows Sons Presidents Grand Board (Who you may have seen on Sky’s “Inside The Freemasons” Documentary) announced at the Rally that over the last year The Widows Sons (Collectively) had raised over £42,000 for UK Charities, brought 41 new candidates into Freemasonry, and as an organisation was growing at a nice rate, with three new Chapters receiving their Warrants at the Rally.

The Rally itself raised an impressive £5000 over the course of the weekend, which the North Wales Chapter will be shared amongst several local charities.
