Spectacular Charity Ball Raises £40,000 for Hospice

W.Bro Paul Maddocks of Square & Compass Lodge No. 1336, hosted a glittering sell-out Charity Ball at Carden Park where guests succeeded in raising an outstanding £40,000 for Nightingale House Hospice.

The sumptuous champagne reception was followed by a three-course Gala Dinner created by Executive Chef, Graham Tinsley, MBE.

Guests were provided with the opportunity, to sit behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce Wraith & McLaren Supercar located either side of the dance floor. Over £500,000 worth of cars were parked inside the Suite, courtesy of Rolls-Royce Manchester & George Willacy from REFGAS.

A ‘Silent Auction’ and the main auction, compared by TV Personality, Nick Hancock,

ably supported by Mark Fearnall, significantly boosted the evening’s fund-raising activities. Singer Steve Charles, Magician Paul Dabek & headline act, Jimmy James & The Vagabonds provided a wonderful entertainment backdrop to the charitable mission of the event.

W.Bro Maddocks said “It is a wonderful privilege to be able to organise an event like this to benefit Nightingale House. I must sincerely thank everyone who was able to come along and support the evening. Another big thank you goes to those who donated prizes for the auction and indeed the successful bidders who proved to be extremely generous”.
