Pro Grand Master Attends the Third Fishing Event at Tan-y-Mynydd

The third Fishing Event of 2016, as usual, held at Tan-y-Mynydd, took place on Tuesday 12 July. Children from three schools attended and thoroughly enjoyed their countryside experience as the trout responded with great gusto to the artificial flies presented to them by a host of Casters and Helpers.

The event was blessed with the presence of the Pro Grand Master, Peter Geoffrey Lowndes, the M.T.S.F.C. Chief Executive, Tony Bleakley and Chairman of Trustees, Mike Purdy. Although the day started out with persistent drizzle, by the time the first coach arrived the skies relented and a very pleasant day ensued with plenty of fish landed to the delight of the children.

Many of the children had first-hand experience of playing the fish whilst others carefully netted them. Each child had a trout to take home with them as a memento of their day and a Certificate of Achievement presented to them by Peter Lowndes.

The next event will take place on Tuesday the Ninth of August – why not attend and give the M.T.S.F.C. your support?
