Powis Lodge No. 7355 Donate £2500
On Thursday 10th January 2019 representatives of two charities came to the Welshpool Masonic rooms, before the regular meeting of Powis Lodge No.7355, to receive cheques from the current immediate Past Master of the Lodge, Worshipful Brother Colin Evans. During his year as Worshipful Master, Colin, supported by his wife Christine and other Lodge members, held a Sunday lunch, Ladies evening and a trip to the National Arboretum, these together with other charity raffles raised a total of in excess of £2500.
On the evening The North Powys Kidney Patient’s association was represented by Julie Turner and Marie Curie Newtown Fund Raising group, by Barbara Norbury, Treasurer and Colin’s wife Christine Evans who is a volunteer fundraiser. Both charities received donations of £1100.
In 2018 a donation, from the Ladies Festival, of £330 was also made to Help for Heroes.
The photographs show the presentation where Colin was accompanied by Worshipful Brothers T Alun Jones and Graham Cooper, The Charity Steward.
