North Wales Freemasons donated £850 to Colwyn Bay Swimming Club towards the purchase of much-needed storage equipment.
Members of Colwyn Lodge No. 7675, Roy Tebbitts & Stephen Ford, together with David Thomas, visited the Club to present the cheque.
The Swimming Club, based in Colwyn Leisure Centre, has just celebrated its 90th anniversary. Swimmers ranging from 6 to 18 years of age, train three times a week for two hours, with as many as 30 swimmers per session.
Annual Club Championships are held, encouraging all swimmers to enter different strokes and distances to aid future training and development.
David Thomas, NWMBA Chairman, said ‘Thank you to members of Colwyn Lodge for highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment of the Swimming Club. We are delighted to support the Club and congratulate everyone involved on achieving over 90 years of continued success.’
