North Wales Freemasons Support Coedpoeth Care Group

Over many years, Coedpoeth Care Group has provided a safe, stimulating & fun Saturday morning group for people who have difficulties, to come together to do crafts, play games, or just socialise.

Coedpoeth Care Group Chairman, Mari Wasiuk said: “It can be a lifeline for carers to have a break on a Saturday morning, but more importantly, we can watch out for people as they get older and perhaps move to supported living separate from their family and often their community.”

The donation will be used to fund a trip for up to 40 members to explore the Historic City of Chester & will include return coach travel, a combined Boat & Bus trip, a picnic in Grosvenor Park, a special meeting with a Roman Soldier, walking a section of the walls & visiting the Cathedral.

The formal presentation was in the hands of David Thomas, North Wales Masonic Benevolent Association (NWMBA) Chairman, accompanied by several trustees & local members.

David Thomas remarked: “On behalf of North Wales Freemasons, I am delighted to present Coedpoeth Care Group with a cheque for £870.00 to fund a memorable trip to Chester. It has been a privilege to visit the group this morning and we have received a very warm welcome. This is a great local initiative and one which we are very proud to support.”

North Wales Masonic Benevolent Association (NWMBA) is a registered charity, representing Freemasons throughout North Wales. Founded in 1874, NWMBA has a proud history of supporting good causes throughout North Wales.
