Jeff's Snowdon 50 times for My 50th

The photographs below show W.Bro. Jeffrey Shields PPAGDC, the Master of Hawarden Lodge No. 6140. In June 2015, while feeling overweight and unhealthy, suffering from high blood sugar and blood pressure, he decided enough was enough. He was turning 50 in Feb and wanted to lose weight and climb Snowdon for his 50th. But that was not enough of a challenge for him, he thought why not do a challenge to complete it 50 times in the year he is 50. And why not raise some money for a great cause at the same time. In his own words:

“I have gone for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team as it fits best with what I am trying to achieve. The lifesaving work they do is amazing, and although I hope I never need them I know they will be there if I do. A full set of kit for each volunteer rescuer costs £250 so I am looking to try and raise enough to kit out half a dozen volunteers.”

To date, Jeff has climbed Snowdon 41 of the 50 times and has raised over £1200. You can keep up to date with his progress on his Just Giving page
