Fight AgainstAcute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

Mark, Emily’s husband and Sam’s brother in law, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in October last year, and thanks to the fantastic care Mark received onward 7Y in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, where Emily works in A&E, he is fighting for a full recovery.

Sam Hill recently became a Master Mason in Bromfield Lodge No. 4233 and to raise money for The Bloom Appeal he completed the Wiggle Dragon Devil Ride, a 187-mile loop over the Brecon Beacons mountain range through elevations of 16,000 feet in just 14 hours.

Emily, together with over 50 friends, colleagues and family ran the Liverpool 10k. They have raised over £12,000 for this relatively new charity, which benefits patients from Merseyside and the surrounding areas including North Wales, Cheshire, Isle of Man and Lancashire and funds research into treating and curing leukaemia, lymphomas and other blood cancers.

The research carried out by the University of Liverpool has a wide impact both nationally and internationally. More information at www.thebloomappeal.org.uk
