Consecration of a New Lodgein Porthmadog

A new Craft Lodge – Glaslyn Lodge of Installed Masters No. 9902 – was consecrated on Tuesday 19 May 2015 at the Masonic Hall in Porthmadog by the R.W. Provincial Grand Master assisted by his Provincial team.

Glaslyn Lodge meets four times a year May and June in the evening, November and February at lunchtime. The name Glaslyn comes from the River Glaslyn which enters the Estuary at Porthmadog. The Lodge logo is based on the Glaslyn Osprey which nests in the Glaslyn Estuary some two miles from Porthmadog.

The first Master of the Lodge is W. Bro John Lister Jones-Morris a Past Master of St Cyngar Lodge who comes from a family of masons which included his Great Uncle, Grandfathers paternal and maternal and Father and Father in law.

Nearly 100 Brethren attended the consecration ceremony which was followed by dinner at the Porthmadog Golf Club. The Twrcelyn Singers performed both at the ceremony and afterwards at the dinner. A most enjoyable day was enjoyed by all and we wish the new Lodge every success for the future.

The photographs included show the R.W. Provincial Grand Master and his team and the new Worshipful Master and his Officers.
