Cheque Presentation to Denbigh Community First Responders

Dyffryn Clwyd Group of Lodges and Chapters were pleased to be able to support the vital work of the Denbigh Community First Responders by presenting them with a cheque for £100. The nine-strong team is made up of volunteers whose backgrounds include mental health care, NHS work, natural therapy, and Post Office work.

Each member has been trained by the Welsh Ambulance Service to administer basic first aid skills, carry out the recognition of cardiac conditions, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator.

The team will be on duty in both Upper and Lower Denbigh, but they will not replace existing ambulance services. Their aim is to make a big difference to someone facing a life-threatening scenario.
