Burnley & Pendle Antient Ritual Demonstration Team

On Saturday 3rd June the Clwyd Lodge of Installed Masters, hosted the 2017 Annual General Meeting of the North Wales Association for Masonic Study at Farfield Hall, Connah’s Quay. Following a well-attended formal meeting, members of the Association, Lodge members and guests witnessed an authentic 1759 Initiation Ceremony which was extremely well performed by the Burnley & Pendle Antient Ritual Demonstration Team who were visiting the area for the first time.

The Team, ably assisted by W.Bro. John T. Jones who acted as the Candidate proved to be worthy actors who led us through the various stages of a candidate’s Initiation in the mid 18th Century adding just the right amount of humour to keep their audience amused as well as informed.

At the conclusion of the excellent Festive Board that followed, the Burnley and Pendle Team were given a donation of over £300 raised through the sale of raffle tickets as a token of appreciation to be donated to a charity of their choice.
